Devin Bing Presents NEW show “Slightly Standard” For Metropolitan Room Fall Residency 2014

New York, NY, September 3rd 2014 – Without skipping a beat, Devin Bing returns this fall to the iconic Metropolitan Room with his brand new show “Slightly Standard!”

Experience the exuberance of some of America’s most treasured songs revitalized and transformed through the eyes of New York’s hottest nu-jazz crooner.  Complimented by a classic sophistication that would appeal to even the most discerning palette, Devin Bing combines the swagger of a bygone era with his own charismatic brand of urban jazz. At 29, Bing pays tribute to his jazz upbringing with songs once recorded by Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole and Chet Baker, infused with his “Stevie Wonder” soul-like spin.

Expect the unexpected as traditional titles like “Fly Me To The Moon”, “I’ve Got The World On A String” and “Moody’s Mood For Love” are suddenly reinvented like never before.

Intimately designed and specially tailored for the Metropolitan Room, this duo performance set with Bing at the grand piano and drummer Blaise Lanzetta along side, brings the combination of engaging and awe-inspiring arrangements of songs from yester year with a present year guise.

FREE SHOW - Manderley Bar at The McKittrick Hotel

Immediately following the last Sleep No More performance of the evening, Devin Bing & "The Secret Service" will be headlining the Manderley Bar stage, located inside the McKittrick Hotel (530 West 27th Street NYC between 10th & 11th Avenues). As one of the first and last impressions of Sleep No More, The Manderley Bar serves as the central hub of the show, where visitors congregate prior to and immediately following their experience. The Manderley stage has recently hosted a wide range of top notch performers, some of which include Sharon Jones, Brandon Urie, Sara Bareilles, Pink & John Legend.

About Sleep No More:

Sleep No More is a large-scale, audience-immersive event that takes place at The McKittrick Hotel, an emporium of curiosities loosely based on Shakespeare’s “Macbeth,” and told through an impeccably detailed, 1930’s style film-noir lens. The audience is left to explore the six-story, one-hundred-thousand square foot space on their own - free to choose their own destinies, making each guest’s experience unique to their visit. More information can be found at

About The Manderley Bar:

Dressed in deep red velvet and evocative of the hazy, heady clubs of the Jazz Age, the Manderley Bar transports guests to another time and place, all without being heavily bound to a specific period, allowing the freedom to present many exceptional acts across a variety of genres. The performance stage is the focal point of the room, surrounded by low cocktail tables illuminated by candlelight, and private banquettes tucked away in smoky corners. Live music is presented nightly for guests attending Sleep No More, after which the general public is invited to join as the evening continues with music and cocktails. As Manderley is the final stop for Sleep No More, the house and guest bands are the most integral part in drawing in and retaining the hundreds of attendees who arrive there upon the completion of their experience.

Come join Devin Bing & "The Secret Service" for this special FREE performance brought to you by Manderley Bar at the McKittrick Hotel!
